Death as we see it
The other day, I went to visit some mesmerising place in Northwest province. There was a big tank , with a great view and nice atmosphere. The evening was cloudy, about to rain, windy across the surface of water. The tank was full and people were happily bathing in the stream. Everything looked perfect. A great hideout for anyone looking for some rest. So I took a walk along the bund, in the Bush, and I saw a dog. A dead dog.
The dog did not match with the vibe, I was looking for. It was partially decayed, hence smelly and full of flies. Looked even unhygienic, surely with maggots although I did not investigate that. The dog was dead as a dog. Although the incident happened a long time ago, only I wrote about it now. Thinking about the life and death I realised there is another definition. But first let's look at the problem.

What is death?
The death is subjective. Like any other experience. We have seen dead, people and dogs. But nobody who has gone through this experience come out alive to tell us about about it. Hence death is always totally subjective. The near death experience do not come closer to actual death. As, near death means they are different from actual dead people.
Then how can we really answer the question What is death? The process of dying we see where a body becomes immobile after the last breath is only the perspective of the "living" about death. What is the actual experience of "death" to the dead person is the real question. But the problem doesn't end there. Although this is a simple observation, that there cannot be any living expert about death, I see a lot of experts now day preaching about death, like they really know. Any religion Is built upon the idea of death. There is no way of proving all these ideologies. Let's stick to the facts and look at death in another angle.
Let's think about the dead dog by the lake. Why the dog is dead? Compared to a living one some functions are missing.
Movements are absent.
Speech and will is absent.
Body is not growing.
There seems that the driving power of the body is no longer there.

Can you see anything common to all these observations? All these talk about what is not there in the dead dog. If I summarise death in a one sentence I would say. "Death is what is not there, in the living, after becoming dead". Obviously there is something missing in this definition. The subjective perspective! Let's insert that too.
" Death is what is not there in the living, after becoming dead, as perceived by living"
As you can see now it is clear. The death is a concept of the living. There is nothing to be afraid of this. I can tell you what else are concepts for the living. Consider following list.
An apple is a concept.
So is the Apple juice.
Money is a concept
So is the poverty and wealth
Anger is a concept
So is the war and peace.
Living is a concept
So is the death and afterlife

The benefits of this conceptualising is easy to understand. First Is you can see the similarity between an apple and death. So, can we eat it? Maybe we can. It reduces the fear associated with it.
Next is you can identify all the people who try to scam you promising heaven after death. You just have to know whether they are living. If so, 😁 they are just 🤥 lying about it.
Lastly you might start to play with it. If what is not there is death, it surely mean except for the ones in front of you others are dead, in the relative world of yours. As they cannot speak move or create an image in your consciousness.
Let's stop there. If you understand anything out of this please comment. Following is just a Poem.

The moon was perfectly crescent
Although appeared dancing on the waves
It'll was just a reflection
Like the illusion of life appear on the surface of mind
With fluctuations of daily troubles
Maybe its perfect at its core
Question is who disturbed the water?
Just this past week+ ago a family friend went in for surgery. I got a text 4 days later that she was on a ventilator and still hadn’t woken up from the anesthesia. Everyone was braced for difficult decisions and very sad news. Then 2 more days later her eyes were opened and she was wiggling her toes. Another 2 days later she was sitting in a chair. Yesterday she was moved from ICU to a regular room. Maybe she has some answers. 🤷🏽♀️
