  • Rearing squirrels and The call of the wild

Why rearing squirrels? I am not a fan of rearing animals. But I have to write about squirrels. Why? Because when I closed my eyes just a minute ago, for a rest I heard a squirrel crying non stop. Maybe it is calling its partner, maybe it is warning others about a cat or a snake. But it reminded me about squirrels in my childhood.  Squirrel: https://unsplash.com/@pearseoh There were plenty of them. As our house was isolated from rest plenty of trees and plenty of squirrels were there. I can remember being a small kid I loved watching them, playing and eating. I am sure I have outlived them. Maybe I am talking about twenty generations of squirrels in the past. Yet I hear the same pitch. It seems the sounds of squirrels did not evolute for few decades, and nature had preserved it. Not letting it extinct yet. Occasionally mama squirrels nested in our house. Corners of the roof were a safe place for them to live. Surely we kept snakes and cats away from the nest. But rarely she did not survive. Over the years several times, mama squirrels did not return to her home. And we saw evidence of a pieces of tail, left after a struggle with a cat. And hungry little squirrels started to cry. And we knew we have to take care of them. Sometimes small as my little finger. Still eyes not open, and without any fur, they looked ugly pink. And they could not drink, and we fed milk with a little cloth so they can suck on this. It worked everytime like magic, and squirrels cubs grew day by day, all the milestones checked. Happy healthy and fat. For us kids these were happy times, as young squirrels fed by us were real pets. They were obviously very fond of us and loved to be cuddled. They would run all over our bodies. Their tiny feet has nails and as they grew up they started even to hurt when they grab our skin. Their teeth have a sharp bite and I would not dare let them bite.  Call of the wild Call of the Wild: https://unsplash.com/@buchstabenhausen As they grew up they started going out. First with our supervision. They would climb a tree and come back when we call. Still we fed them. With everything we have. Still they lived with us. And they would wait eagerly for our return home if we go somewhere for a few hours. Still they loved cuddles. But within few weeks things change. They would spend more time on trees, like they have found out this new adventurous world. I would not blame them as I know a view from a tree is far better than view from ground. Like Buck, in call of the wild by Jack London. They would slowly change their character. They would be called by the nature more often. The temporary relationship as humans pet would slowly dissolve. And one night they would not return home. We could not ask where were they. Surely they would not tell, and they could not. It maybe in a nearby tree with a friend squirrel. Or it may be far away hunting insects. But still they would eat. And these adventurous nights become the norm after a while and there comes a time we would not see them for few days in a row.  And when this happen, we know squirrels no longer need us. They might eat from us. And they might sleep in their nest. But once we know they do not like to be in the nest we take it down. And squirrels stop being our squirrels and become "wild" squirrels again. And when we look at trees a bunch of squirrels playing, we call at them but one comes. What do we expect, it is sad and happy at the same time. Sad that we are nolonger able to cuddle them, take care of them. Happy that like a squirrel mother we have made them independent. And sometimes out of nowhere a squirrel comes and jump on us! And it feels like time of thanksgiving! Sometimes they come back if they wish to make a nest! I do not have squirrels now. But I know what to expect in the future as there are two little Bambinis still at home. Have you ever reared squirrels? How many? Do they still return home?

  • Mindfulness and religion,What is the difference?

What is mindfulness and What is religion? Mindfulness has its origin in Eastern philosophy. Someone might say it is in the core of the Buddhist practice. However it is different from a religion. And here in this article we discuss the fundamental difference.  To understand this we need to look around first and then into ourselves. A religion is based on a belief. If we look at any religion in the world there is a component which goes beyond the human capabilities. I would say at the core of any religion there is a fundamental belief that there is some liberation. But this part Is very difficult to prove or disprove. Even if its written in books, even if we feel it like true how can we be sure about thigs we cannot see hear or feel?  Atheism on the other hand does not believe in such unseen things . But is it not the opposite end of the same stick? Instead of believing in things, they believe in things which doesn't exist. Instead of believing in God, they believe in no God. Instead of believing in sins, they do believe in no sins. Although atheist tries to separate themselves from in believing things we can see, at the core of their argument, they themselves create mental imagery of the same things, and then "believe" they are not there. Something cannot be there unless that was there? And I would say this atheism is different from nothingness , as there is something in atheism. In fact atheism also a kind of religion. As it is also believing in things. Lagoon: https://unsplash.com/@titouanc Now let's look around. What do you see? I see the lagoon, the sky, the trees and people walking by. I hear the sounds of birds and crows. Now here is the thing. If believing is a religion, I would say I have a religion. Because I believe all these things happen around me. Ever since my parents taught me, that black noisy birds which makes untidy nests are crows. I believe in them. I believe they exist! Ever since from the seventh grade I learned about lagoons in geography, thanks to my teachers I believe in them, I believe lagoons do exist. Ever since I learned about sky and trees I believe in them. I believe they have roots deep in the ground, although I do not see them I believe. Can you see the similarity of our world to a religion? Infact everything I see, hear or smell, comes under this belief system. If I do not believe in the ground is hard, I might even fear to take a step thinking I might sink deep down to earth. Can you see the problem. In fact it is not far different from blind faith in God. I have written so much details about lies in different believes of ourselves. In clouds , in mirage , in glass of water and in pens even in money . It is only when we see this in mindfulness we can see everything is a blind faith. Even mathematics and science. Greatest human creations. If I tell you this jumble of believes extend beyond our imagination I would not be lying. Even happiness, even sadness is like a chimera of a fairy tale. And seeking comfort in these belief system is like trying to build a house using thin paper. It's fragile and helpless. But what is the alternative? Chimeric: https://unsplash.com/@clevelandart Difference between mindfulness and religion The alternative is the mindfulness. As you can see mindfulness is not just being aware of a tree in front of you. It is the mental examination of identifying the truth about the tree which is the difference between mindfulness and religion, In mindfulness we keep our believes temporerily at halt. If you have some intution on what I am talking tight now you would understand, there would be truth in a tree as long as we believe. If we are mindful we will see the tree is just a relative truth. Now here is some interesting fact. If you have understood anything after reading this article, I can 100% guarantee that is not the truth either. Its just another lie. Can we go anywhere with this? Infact, this is the true meaning of being aware. Let it be. No matter how much our teachers of mindfulness ask us to be aware and let it go, we cannot. How can we let go? We believe in everything. When we believe, there is no letting go. We are just grabbing, and this happens so fast that even we cry when things seems to do fall apart. But if we are mindful we just might see that things that we thought are there are just things we created in the first place. That is mindfulness. Now you can turn into yourself and ask yourself the question. "How am I created in the first place?" Is it not the same way my mind created a tree? Do I exist? Or what? Let's be mindful today to understand. Please leave a comment if this crap doesn't make sense at all, or difficult to understand.

  • Philosophy in court, Hidden agendas and Hearsay, Johnny Depp

Philosophy in Court. I'm a big fan of Johnny Depp movies. Obviously "The Pirates of the carribian" are the favourites. And Captain Jack sparrow has a noble conduct than anyone else I believe due to the fact that he did not want to hide that he is mischievious as well as canny. Maybe he is a robber who didn't want to lie . So, I followed Johnny Depp devorce case. Mainly because youtube suggested me everytime I opened the app, and secondly it was genuinely interesting. I will point out three interesting facts about the Johnny Depp case. Johnny Depp Fact One: Who is the lier? First, just only few minutes into the trail I was thinking what is even there to trail? I could even tell who is acting and who is not, just by looking at faces! I am sure I am not the only one who felt this. That is a whole lot prejudice to judge a book by the cover, that is not how courts handle the matters. The facts should be proven beyond doubt. Hence we had a chance to witness a great film of Johnny second only to Pirates of the carribien In material for a laugh! Fact Two: Who has a hidden Agenda? Secondly there were great examples of hidden agendas. Sometimes we appear we are there for nothing. But if you are somewhere just in this second, that is because you expect something in return, unless you are a seeker of nothing . I am sure only handful of them are there for each continent. Otherwise we are pretty normal human beings. When the former TMZ member on the witness stand, defence lawyer questioned him asking "Are you here for your fifteen minutes of fame?". He thought about this for a moment and at the end he said, "Well, if that is the case I can say the same about you, by taking the case, you were searching for the same fame". And that was true! Everybody laughed and admired his sharp wisdom. And I see that statement can even be generalised. We can say everyone in that courtroom that day was for some gain. For cameramen it was a great coverage of their lifetime. For everyone seated they appeared in television or media. Unless someone was there without a conscious awareness of their presense (pretty much meaning either dementic or in a coma), everyone was gaining something, financial or mental in nature. So, it was a strong statement. For that matter if someone says they are there for nothing I would say, just know that they are liers. Teachers teach, lawyers appear in court, Judges become Judges, and social workers become social workers because they have some gain. You go to cinema to entertain, you go to supermarket because you have a need to buy, and you scratch your back to relive an itch! Sometimes some even do not know there are hidden agendas. Lovers love and preachers preach politicians rule beacuse of the gains. Its very very very rare to find no gain moments in our lives. So, knowing this fact will help yourself atleast to be true to yourself. And as for proper conduct we might have to appear saints sometimes. Hearsay: https://unsplash.com/@birminghammuseumstrust Fact three: Understanding Hearsay Thirdly hearsay. Lets assume Sally in the witness stand say "Robert said to me he saw Maggie got in a taxi with Tom". In this case scenario unless Robert is in the court the statement cannot be taken as evidence. It is something the witness did not witness directly. So it is a "hearsay". In the Jonney Depp trail I saw whenever there was a statement by a witness often this would be objected by the opposition lawyer and most common reason being it is a hearsay. As a philosopher I can enumerate the logic behind this. If we assume witness is saying true in the first place, why would he or she lie about what they hear and not what they see? Meaning, someone can equally lie about what they hear and what they see. No matter what, subjectivity of the witnessess statement cannot be eliminated. If we assume the witness is saying true when they say something they saw, we cannot assume they say something false when they say hearsay. Maybe it is the fact that court only can allow one persons subjective error not two in a row. (If you look at a circuit, resistance will be added if two resistors in series, but in parallal, it will reduce the overall resistance of the system -> little bit of electronics :) So that subjective errors would be multiplied if it happens. To understand this subjective error, I have written a previous article. Again this is coming from a Judge and it goes, " people generally see what they looking for and hear what they listen for ". Which basically means two persons observing same incident see two things not one, and both of them are equally true. Does this prove as a fact that courts can never find the truth? Only philosophers can? Or everything they prove in courts is with false witnesses of relative truths? I am sure about one thing, I will never want to be in a court, which tries to prove a truth which is not there objectively!

  • Understanding Technical Drawings in wedding photography and mindfulness

What is technical Drawing? If you are not an architect/ Engineer or recently built a house it is unlikely you have come across the above term. Even it is not a familier word among many artists. But once you have read this article you may understand not only the meaning of it, but also the connection with subjectivity and mindfulness. We used to draw images of simple objects. It is a method of representation of a 3d object in a 2d paper. For that matter in a computer even. A cylinder can be drawn as a two equal rectangles, and a circle as seen from above. And architects know these are the most common drawings we use. However if the complexity of the object is more we might need more drawings like both side views back view etc. Compared to the perspective drawing where we try to draw a 3d object combining all 3 shapes of views in a 2d plane. In elevation drawing, only the tops and bottom views ommited. Rear view Of a Whale Technical drawing of a bride or wedding photography This is not rocket science. Infact if you have phone with a camera we do this all the time. Imagine a wedding photo shoot session. Front on view of the bride on a single photo would not at all tell the story. So the photographer takes multiple views from different angles. From behind, from the sides, even from above and even from below. And this gives more details and more complete picture of what the bride looked like on that day. No wonder these photo shoots are so f----g expensive. It's just an technical drawing of a bride! I can go on talking about technical drawings more and more. I can fill up an entire screen with 5000 words about these drawings. But I won't do that. As I am exhausted as you are solving knots in life . I am just an ordinary guy who is prone to sickness and tiredness and value conciousness just like you. So your seconds matters just like I value mine. I have only 1000 words to give you a lifetime of wisdom. Another side angle view of your life to try to complete the picture of yourself. I can say its a birds eye view, or a view from top of a tree . But here is the real question. Think about the following. Top view of a whale Understanding technical drawings. Imagine you were given a technical drawings of a house. And asked which one is correct? Think about this for a moment. Obvious answer is non of them were correct. But let's go a little bit deeper into this before we come to conclusions and truly understand technical drawings. If non of them were correct how come we can built a perfect replica of the house using the same plan? It seem non of them were correct is not a good answer. You can say, what is real is the true house. What is built is the real deal right? But I would say wrong again! The house that you see is just your own perspective of the house. It is just one technical drawing. Infact which iteration of time this drawing of your house upgrades and updates. And if there are 1000 people they have 1000 different technical drawings of the same house. Non of them are correct because its not true thing, non of them are wrong either because It's just relative. And this is not new wisdom. It's the subjectivity of the nature, which have been discussed by generations of philosophers over many years. However, I would say that is a serious fact for mindfulness. Sideview of the whale Walking mindfully among blind For many years, you must have been looking for the real deal of life. The perfect job. Perfect peace and calmness. The perfect happiness. Until you meet mindfulness and the wisdom it provides. It's just relative. No matter how much effort you put into it, you would never see the real deal. The instruments we posess which we call our mind and body are not capable of going beyond the prison of its own. And it just creates magical world which is true and false at the same time. Just like true and false drawings in our argument. And knowing this fact and application of it is, "true" mindfulness. Of course we have to say true at some point as the mind has to cling onto something to exist. But that there is the only way to say an unsayable truth. I can only hope you would see the "house" not the elevations created by your own mind. Let's walk mindfully among blind.

  • Maximus the Gladiator philosophy

When in the movie The Gladiator, when the dying king asked the commander of his army, Maximus, offering the throne, instead of Commodious, following dialogue unravels. And this hides some fundamentals of philosophy. Markus Aurelius: There is one more duty that I ask of you before you go home. I want you to become the protector of Rome after I die. I will empower you to one end alone, to give power back to the people of Rome and end the corruption that has crippled it. Will you accept this great honor that I have offered you? Maximus: With all my heart, no. Markus Aurelius: Maximus, that is why it must be you. https://unsplash.com/@cotk_photo Philosophy of choosing a leader. We can deduct rules for choosing a leader for ourselves. Nowadays, there are no kings, hence, it is not the king's responsibility to choose a ruler. Good or bad, we all have the power to choose our ruler as a collective decision. Imagine two men run for presidency. Only thing we know is the image given by the media, about their intentions. Although it is wise to choose the one, who is less greedy about becoming the president, this also can be manipulated by the media. Hardly anyone wants to give up the power once they have it, because of the privileges comes with it. It may not be material, or luxury like older days, but it may come as recognition, respect, etc. Hence it is common; in developing countries, rulers are still behaving like kings, although they are chosen by general public. And it is a vicious cycle for the poor people in these countries, as they always have to choose less corrupt politician, as good ones, never come for running presidency. Just like Maximus in this case. This leads to the question, why people do not want to become kings. What do these good men see it as a burden. Good leaders, see it a burden to become a ruler, why? They do not see the power; they are not greedy about the luxury or the recognition. They see the leadership as a responsibility. They know that if they become the president, they have the responsibility to build the nation ( universal kings ). They know that is not an easy task, when everyone tries to meet their selfish ends. It is really difficult. They know people are going to die because of decisions they make about the country's economy. They know, people are going to suffer, if they fail. They know they have to put criminals in the jail. And they know they have to establish, ethical killing of animals to increase the nutrition of the children of the country. Imagine you are pure at heart. Would you rather be a King/ a leader or just let some other human being to do that. That is why it is unlikely someone with such pure intentions would lead a country. It is uncommon. And it is uncommon even in the case of modern democracy. https://unsplash.com/@calvinhanson The take home messages from Maximus, the gladiator Philosophy. Following is a few. When choosing a leader, Choose the one who is willing to do no unethical things, to come to the power. It is better to make a system, so that such people can come to power. As Adam Smith once pointed out , this is responsibility of wealthy, emperors to distribute their wealth to such people, not only their corrupt children. Who will continue to do good to the society, and humankind. When choosing happiness, Similarly, just like when choosing a leader, we should be looking at good intentions than able to rule well, we can choose kindness, peace and contentment over happiness. Then the happiness will invariably follow in life. Let's choose Peace , over happiness, as nature always will choose happiness for you if you do this.

  • Last day on earth.

Warning: This article discusses philosophy of death personal point of view. Read at your own risk. Apocalyptic Last day on earth. It is not uncommon for us to see the last day on earth in a movie. If we did a google search, from Matrix to how it ends 2021, there is a long list of apocalyptic movies. I was surprised just looking at the list. There are hundreds of them. From gigantic tsunamis, frozen planets, heat waves, alien attacks, even deadly viruses. So, the fact is we are aware of the doom's day. It is dramatic if we all perished in a one day or within few days like in a movie. I am sure this fear is the reason why we seek the shelter of other planets. Are they just created by the sci-fi films, or the threats are just real? And should we not investigate where the fear comes from instead of running for shelter? Should we not investigate who is dying in the first place? Apocalypse: https://unsplash.com/@aleexcif Let's get you afraid Although the apocalyptic ending to my life is unlikely, I have noticed there are so many dumb ways to die, until the "natural" ends meet. On the other hand, I have argued that a plastic bottle, and pollution is also a natural thing. So, someone can still argue even getting an accident is also natural. Thinking about these philosophical thoughts in the corner of the coffeehouse, I swallow my own sandwich. Do you even know how many even die chocking on their food? In united states alone 5554 dies approx., per year, and 1 in 2500 lifetime risk. The same food that I swallow day after day to keep my body living, is the same shit potentially chock me, or give me diabetes and cancer. I am sure I will be scared of Bullseye in the movie Daredevil is my enemy. I would be scared of peanuts and paper clips, not because of anaphylaxis but because he (Bullseye) knows how to use both to make a perfect shot on my throat cutting off my valuable oxygen. Now I have established certain amount of fear in your mind. I can start scamming your consciousness. Did you see what fear does to us? When fear sets in, we go on running looking for answers like bunch of rats. When the fear sets in, we follow any PEEP piper who blows a nice tune. And they are everywhere! And it is this fear which will make you read the rest of the article looking for answers for these newly created problems in your life. So you do not agree? Do not believe me? I will show you why? Fear : https://unsplash.com/@franku84 How did it all begin? What were you doing before you started to read this? Reading newspaper? Having lunch or dinner? Mindless scrolling? It could be anything. Maybe you were taking a shower or s---tting. The fact is it doesn't matter. What matters is what were you thinking about? What were you thinking about? Today? Tomorrow? Office? Money? Garden? I don't know it. But I know death was the last thing you were thinking about. Its reading this article which made you think in line of where I drive. It is the mentioning in this article which made you think you should do something today to prepare for the doom's day. And without investigating where it came from, you were looking for answers. In fact, every question that we face are coming from information that we assume to be true. We can talk about apocalyptic ending to our lives only in the position, and when we agree we are "living". Mindfulness: https://unsplash.com/@mariodobelmann Philosophy of self and mindfulness solution. Who is living? Who is behind those eyes and ears. Isn't this person is built from the same information, which created the information sphere? The other side of the same coin? I know how much confused you are right now. These words might not create the same meaning in your mind. Infact that there is the heart of the problem. It is subjective . Let's get back to the problem. Simply the truth (relative) Is last day on earth does not exist. This illusion of the last day on earth was just created in our mind by the language, information, by the mind itself. First the mind creates the scenario "The last day on earth" and then it "fears" its own creation. And the same mind goes on listening to every sermon, looking to escape from the same mental objects it creates. I call this mind madness. And mindfulness is just looking at this crazy occurrence happening day after day, moment after moment. And it is a timeless process.

  • Fire Benders and anger management, Monte Cristo wisdom

Following article discuss, philosophical fictional and mindfulness approach in anger management. However, this does not provide professional opinion on controlling anger, only personal perspective. Destructive power of anger and fire Benders and Diablo response. Anger has destructive fire. So, this is often compared to a fire. Infact this is not a bad comparison at all, just like a fire, anger when it is present, makes the blood boil inside its own bucket, and faces go red, while ears start to burn hair like the rapidly spreading Palisade fire. Even firefighters would not be able to contain such a fire, without the help of nature. And this can be expected from every anger that we have. And trying to control anger is like learning to bend fire. We can appreciate how much similarity this does have with fire benders in popular movies. If you have watched Suicide Squad 2016, Diablo is a character who has special power of making a fire. Yet he lacks the needed power to control his own anger. So, according to the plot, once when he was in rage with his wife, he burned everything down killing his beloved. And only when the anger is subsided, he comes to consciousness and decide never to use the fire again. Similarly, when anger is there, we almost always lose our general calmness, and things often can go out of hand. And it is uncommon for us to realize later that we have created more harm with anger than the initial cause of this. Anger is like fire : https://unsplash.com/@tobbes_rd Road Rage and mindfulness Today while I was driving, the car behind me honked several times and all of a sudden, the driver was shouting to me, for driving slowly and blocking the road. Suddenly out of nowhere I saw anger creeped in, apparently to be blamed for no reason! I maybe driving slowly, but there was some traffic, and there was no way anyone else could drive faster. I could feel my blood boiling and ears turning red. If this guy came to a fight I would have fight till death in rage. I know it is bad. I know it is stupid to be angry. Then with all the wisdom I have gained through writing this blog kicked in. And I observed my anger like it is just another mental object . I did not claim it to be mine. Within seconds it was gone, and I was being rational again. I even did not think about the guy 100 meters beyond the incident, it disappeared that fast without any trace. And that was an achievement, as I have seen people keep carrying road rage, longer than that, even miles and bring it home. It became funny when after few miles, when I stopped for gas, the same guy was filling his car just Infront of me. I got down, just to show him that I was aware, and didn't even speak a word, didn't even look at him. I am sure, his mind was racing to start an ugly word exchange. I just smiled with the cashier and kept my calmness throughout. That was easy anyway as My angry hormones were all gone and I am an introvert anyway. I think it gave him an opportunity to react and control his anger as well. Have you ever been in a road rage? rage : https://unsplash.com/@abhi05 The count of Monte Cristo. I was a big fan of the novel. Although I cannot remember exact details, I used to read how Monte Cristo was plotted against by his enemies into prison. And he came back strong, as a wealthy Count, with years of suffering behind his back, now as a real gentleman. And he kept his anger hidden inside him, to conduct like a true nobleman, without making any suspicion in his enemy's mind. And took the chance of revenge when they were doomed by their own greed lured by him. I am sure not only me, but everyone also who read the novel and appreciated they might have done the same. They themselves becomes the count and be the judge of the enemies. And this is the third way to use anger. But can we say this is eviler than the first one? Three ways of anger management and pros and cons of each So far, we discussed three methods to respond anger. One is diablo way - Or to burn everything down by letting it lose then and there. Second is Monte Cristo way - Or to keep it hidden, control our conduct and strike back hard at everyone responsible when it is possible without any self-harm. Third is mindfulness way - To identify and acknowledge anger is another mental object and, it too will pass. Like all other mental objects, it only prevails as long as you are feeding with firewood, of some similar thoughts. I would not say it is easy to be angry. Often it is the opposite. It is hard to be angry and destroy everything, it takes time effort and cost a lot, physically and mentally. The easiest and the most effective method is the third. Which is acknowledging and letting it go. No need to suppress but being aware is enough. If we are aware when it is small, there is no chance for it to grow into a massive destructive fire. Countess : https://unsplash.com/@clevelandart What about Monte Cristo? That is real difficult question to answer and its philosophical. But, as I have discussed earlier, in the article Cockroach ethics , I would say it is still not necessary to crush cockroaches. Not because it is a sin and we will be dragged to the hell, there is no evidence so far for that. But because it is unnecessary. As longer we hold onto fire, no matter how small it is, it is going to burn ourselves down, either tissues or souls. Hence, let the mindfulness rain on anger when it is there. Hopefully it will benefit in the long run.

  • What is wrong and right?

Infact the exact, topic of this article should be what is wrong in right? However for the SEO purposes I have to put "And" not "In" which will totally change the meaning of the question. After all this is an article about wrong in right, I think this serves the purpose, so join in. I can give you examples, for what is wrong in right. I will start from simple ones and make it complex along the way and ending up proving there is wrong in every right thing of this world, and we are not capable of avoiding this error. Beach : Watch me drawing on Youtube What is wrong and right with Flat earth, physics and Chemistry Not longer than 500 years ago, people used to believe the earth is a flat land, ending up falling out of the sky. And it took courageous (I assume) men to voyage months battling ferocious gales to travel around the world and prove the earth is round. Maybe up until the telescope were built and seen through this, evening star may havebeen considered a star by the commoners. So, as time goes on when the technology advances, we will find out what is right is wrong after all. This has happened in physics, we moved from Newtonion physics to Einstein relativity and then to Quantum physics. And this field is advancing rapidly, maybe even faster than the smartphones by AppleInc. So, these new theories supress the old ones and find errors in them. Even mathematics, advances fast. Nowdays there are no professors in "All mathematics" or "All chemistry" There are subcategories, "Organic, inorganic, physical" or someone might be doing mathematics of a knot , all their lives. I call this learning to draw perfect circles . And they might even find tiny faults in their previous circles and find out a new model to represent concepts better and faster. Dolphins : Watch me darwing Youtube What is wrong in a mango tree? And, this happned to us as well. If you have forgotton. We first learned a mango is a tree, and coconut is also a tree. And they were correct for the grade 1 class. But when we were in grade 2 all of sudden mango was a broad leaf tree, and coconut is a palm. Now if we just applied our grade 1 knowledge, the answers we get are incorrect, and we won't get marks. So, grade 1 knowlege is just right but wrong at the same time. And it did not end up there. After all the additional things we learned in science, once we were in Botany we learned great deal about trees. Now even more classfications. And even without botany, life taught us there are hundreds of varieties of mango trees. And if we do not identify the correct type we might just be cheated by a vendor, with some cheap mango. Some lessons of life are hard earned at a loss. If we just say mango, answer is not correct. Relative truths. As you can see, this is a major problem in life. Something which we consider absolute truth in a some context will become a relative truth when it is challenged in another context. One such is time. What we see correct as teenagers is no longer valid in adult life. What we thought about our relationships are not correct when time goes on. So, is this true for every truth out there? And this is the major question for late David Foster Wallace . And even for any rational mindful person, who repeatedly get things Wrong! Is it my fault? Crows : Watch me drawing Youtube Who's fault is it? Absolutely not. It is not at all 'Our' fault. Infact, everything is relative. Someone can argue, if your consciousness does not exist, everything else would not exist. And there is no way of getting over this argument. Yes, I am talking about your consciousness not mine. If your consciousness does not exist, this article would not exist relative to your consciousness. However, it may still exist relative to my consciousness as long as I am aware of it. So, the existance of this article is a relative truth. It does and does not at the same time. And if you have followed the argument and the examples I have provided, you know there is wrong in every right, as right exist only relative to our own consciousness. Now you can become your own philosopher and ask the questions like, Is it true about myself? What about my soul? What about death ? and afterlife ? I will let a blank here, so you can comment.

  • Mindfulness, and 10 second Attention span of GenZ

Mindfulness is an asset anyone can have. The remarkable difference of it from any other asset classes you possess is, its available everywhere and anytime. Even when the life is chaotic and stormy. But are we harvesting enough wisdom from our mindfulness field? Or have we left it to grow wild with weed? 😁 Monarch caterpiller Attention span of GenZ Nope, it's not us. Generally GenZ doesn't come here looking for answers for the problem of life. GenZ is the generation after the millenia. The kids who were born with umbilical cord one hand and the smart phone on the other. And they will not know what mindfulness is, what silence is. As the marginally hybrid generation Y we have a foot in both worlds.  Youtube shorts. I recently discovered YouTube shorts. I have not used TokTok yet. However, I tried making some videos for YouTube shorts. It's far easier as I do not have time or energy to create 5 minute video on drawing. I barely find half an hour of undisturbed peace for drawing. So, a 15 second to 60 second option is attractive for me, being non creator. That's right! You read it correct. It's 15 to 60 second long. Infact all my videos so far In my channel are 10 seconds each ! In a world where everyone blame the attention span of GenZ for being limited I chose otherwise. I chose to show them the drawings took me one hour, in ten seconds. Because I know the value of 10 seconds of human consciouness. Monarch Larva - Cocoon First look matters. First looks matters for anything. From the job interview to a making a sale in a sports car facility, first look matters. Even when YouTube was not there, we used to say do not judge a book by the cover. Yet that is what we always did. We looked for the best cover, and maybe the review on the back. And it took us less than 10 seconds to turn down any offer. Not only for books, consider relationships. Imagine the first time we migrated, and had to change our school. Can you remember the first day? I am sure meeting new kids in the class it only took few seconds to decide where we are going to sit for the rest of the semester. And for that matter with whom we would like to spend our rest of the life with. Love ❤️ at the first sight right? And we watch films about it. I am sure in more than half of romantic dramas on Netflix is about a couple who fell in love at the first sight.   At this point I can conclude that I have given enough evidence to prove you that, first looks matters. And even a few second memory matters. And I have previously written a whole article about how I can remember only half a second of an seeing elephant for entire four hour journey that I took. It seems there is nothing wrong with attention span of GenZ. In fact they even represent a mixture of our genetic code. Who are we blaming? Monarch Butterfly. Importance of a second. Time and time again I will come back to time. And as you can see 10 seconds are important. But not only ten even one Is important, and if you ask a marathon runner he would tell. What about a hundredths of a second, and we can ask great ussain bolt and he would confirm.  How about thousandth of a second. If you ask formula 1 driver, he would confirm transmission time is only 2 milliseconds for modern formula 1 drive. I want you to imagine, the shortest time interval you possibly can imagine. And in these platonic forms, normal language and mathematics will dissapear. And even quantum would not exist. What will happen if everything stopped for that fraction of time? Will there be a universe after that? As we already know something to exist there has to be something before - chicken and egg. It is not to show you the absurdity of the thought, but to show you the life is a continous flow of fractions of nothingness . And only mindfulness can squeeze into this not math or science.

  • What a waste of time?

Watching films or being a couch potato. Its wonderful to have a stage name. I never doubted I should have one when I started to write about two years back. That's because I could be totally honest. Or even talk about crazy things without being prejudiced and, keep away the guilt which otherwise dirt my name. So, I can talk freely about time I have wasted in the past and even now, without your judgement. So, we can both learn about life, through this virtual unilateral discussion. I have been lazy in my life. I hardly watch a film nowdays. I always knew it is kind of a waste of time. On the other hand twice in my life, I have been a couch potato watching film after film. And I am going to tell you why it is a waste of time and not at the same time. Let's get on with our story of this young enthusiastic man. film : https://unsplash.com/@jakobowens1 What a waste of time? This young and enthusiastic man who was after his first college exams, was bored. And he found out that he had a thing for movies. It is not like nowdays. We could not watch movies on netflix, streaming on demand. No satalite television either. So, each day, everyday only one movie or two. And I can remember I have gone on watching movies for three months in a strech. All the movies that played on TV without over lap. And Hindi, was my faourite, and half of them with Sharuk Khan and Saif Ali Khan, featuring. Later in college years, the same enthusiastic man now in middle of twenties, after long stretch of absence of movies had time to watch again. And this time it was worse. Internet was a common door to door name, and there were thousands of movies stored in terabites ready to be watched. I have watched them all. From early 1990s to end of 2010, all the Hollywood. From all the saw series to even barely interesting classic french drama films with subtitles. And the duration and time wasted on this was staggeringly high compared to active productive work I have done. I used to sleep at 5 am after running movie marathons all night to wake up at 7 to go to lectures. I am not proud of doing that, infact it was an addiction after all. I was even ashamed. What a waste of time? All that time was wasted. I could have worked hard byhearting lists and lists after lists, reading every textbook, and going to every party. I could have enjoyed life travelling, sight seeing. Making a f---king decoration a collage on my wall with waste papers from the lecture notes. I could have written a song, learned to paint, or built a pyramid scheme to scam some people. But I did do nothing. Just binge eating and putting on weight. And university life even made me little fatter like a Tuna fish. Have you seen this fat tuna fish, filled with flesh captured from deep see? I am sure you will come across a fish cutting video on you tube one day, and remember this article when you do. Collage : https://unsplash.com/@jontyson Was it a waste of time? And that era was gone. Life happened, another long streak of struggles, exams, depressions and success and faliure. Just like Ferdinand Magellan, travelled from Atlantic ocean to Pacific ocean, 20s were gone and I was navigating th 30s in no time. Now, here is the point. In the depths of nowhere, while stranded like a sailship without wind, I was letting my ship to drift in the ocean currents. And I started a blog, this same blog you are reading now, just to kill my time and entertain the boaring thoughts of mine so that they do not turn against myself in an attempt of mutiny. And It worked. Slowly I was able to see the thoughts dance on the deck, to my own poems, and one by one those thousands of movies I have watched came to my mind. This time combined with all the information, gathered around various subjects, in and out of the university. And the international experise, I was able to put one plus one, and show that it is not always equal to two. But likely it can be six or even nothingness . Infact, if you follow some of my blog articles, you may find many examples I have given from movies. Just like in the movie, dreamers, they sing pieces of songs from old movies. I write articles on superman , megamind , troy , dead poet's society and even yes man . The list is endless And its all about philosophy and mindfulness. Can you see? It is not a waste of time? It wasn't a waste of time after all watching a hilarious film by Jim Carrey , as long as we are able to figure out what is going on. It can come handy at later time with a philosopy article. Now, this is not to encourage anyone to start watching endless film run on Netflix. I hardly watch a film, again anymore. I might, if I had time. But, currently I have enough base to continue writing until I die, If I wanted. So, that was not a waste of time after all. Batman of Gothem : https://unsplash.com/@devp10 Anything may not be a waste of time. But it is a good lesson. For whoever thinking that what you do today is not productive. It is not at all true. Even if you are just watching at the celing doing nothing, or some grass sway in the wind, it can be a productive work as long as you are mindful about what is happening. It can give you wisdom about life that nobody will be able to teach you in 15 hours of lecturing about it. So, the more real question we should be thinking right now is, are you just active listener to this continous universal lecture, or just passive mindless floating jellyfish ?

  • Who is at fault? Mickey mouse wisdom

Who is at fault? This is a frequent question we hear from everyone when something really goes wrong. And it feels like we are doing some damage control by doing it. However, If you ask a HR person, who is at fault? I would say he or she will not answer directly. Really speaking who is at fault is a question of the past, even in work setup, even in mindfulness. And I will explain both. Bottlenecks of life It is not long before I have wrtten about bottlenecks of life and fishbone diagrams. Infact, that is just like finding who or what went wrong. Sometimes we will exactly pinpoint it to who, what and where. Sometimes we would not. But more importantly we may find a multitude of reasons behind ommisions of commisions of individuals or groups. And if we get the big picture, we would find, it is due to the errors in the system that we use, can be upgraded so such faulty actions do not happen. Migrating birds in the lagoon Swiss cheese model - Mickey mouse wisdom Infact this is exactly what the Swiss cheese model suggests. If you do not know about it, I will explain. Have you seen how they draw cheese in cartoon diagrams of Mickey mouse? A block of cheese would have several bubbles in it. And if we cut square pieces from different parts and line them up and look from side, we would not see through to the other side from any of the holes. But if we repeatedly do this experiment with 100 more chese blocks, we would find one rare occation where the holes do line up. And that is exactly what happens when something goes wrong. Infact the "Who is at fault?" question technically answers only about the last piece of cheese which had a hole in it. Forgetting all the fifty pieces which had holes and lead you there freely. And this is a great wisdom to have for someone who wants to become a CEO, or live a mindful life. Mass shooting I can give you an example. Imagine, a mass shooting happens in somewhere. And first question which every media try to answer is who is the Shooter and his background. And after a week nobody would even talk about it. Unless we look at everything about that person, still we would not find out what went wrong. We might attribute it to a bad treatment he got from the society, a mental illness, free access to guns and even watching too much violent films. And behind each of these reasons, there are untracable amout of reasons. Even human development of gun powder is a reason for a mass shooting to happen. But, I would be called a mad person if I say it as a reason in a court. Infact it is only philosophers goes that deep into a question after all. But, for different people they can stop at different levels. News agents - will find reasons, why he became a mass shooter. Police - will only needs to find the shooter and his associates. Chief in charge of the police - will find out what went wrong in the police response The policy makers, will look into the trend in gun violance and firearm laws. The defence lawyer will find out good things in the shooter (only few holes in the cheese), than anyone else, while the procecutors will identify this a violent crime (rotton chese with many holes). The list goes on, and you get the picture. It all depends on which level are you seeing the problem. If I am far away corner of the world that news wouldn't even matter. And I would not go into any depth of it. Common Crows Mindfulness on ants. I will end up the who is at fault there, to tell you a little story of mindfulness on ants. I was watering the plants other day. And after watering I saw bunch of ants were fleeing through grass, carrying their eggs. It seems I have flooded their beloved home, and created a crisis. And my little daughters were discussing "Who is at fault?". And the answer is obvious at first, "It is the dad" He watered the plants, and drowned the ants!. And then the wisdom kicked in. Maybe they could not rationalised their father being a cruel person. They shouted, "It is not the dad, It is the sun at fault!" And I was even suprised. That is a wonderful explanation. And it is the Sun's fault. If the tropical sun did not burn the grass in the first place, I would not have to water it. They stopped there. And yet, with mindfulness wisdom, I did identify the truth is it was nobody's fault. Everything in the universe is so much interconnected . And this is why I argued lung cancer is a reason for lung cancer in the first place (Check out the download). It is bizzare, yet that is one way to overcome the guilt of the past we carry. Not only that it can be the gateway to profound wisdom which will liberate us from all the burden of life. Whom did you find any fault lately? In others? In you? Take home message? Really? do you even need a take home message? I would say, take home message is let it sink deep into you, if you find fault in anyone, it is just that you haven't seen deep enough into any reasons. And If you end up fault is in you, Still look deep into yourself. Whales and the Surfer

  • Why Mindfulness has nothing to do with your life.

Surviving a current. Once I read this incredible story. Which I do not know from where, but it gives a strong message about the perspective of mindfulness. Story is about a swimmer, I will narrate it with a fresh perspective as I am not entirely sure about the exact location, but I can assure it is real. Floating life "One day I went for swimming in the nearby bay, with my dad. While my dad was relaxing in the sun. I got bored and went for a swim. It was a sunny day and not a sunday. So there were not much people on the beach. The lifeguard was on the watch few hundred meters away. And I was swmiming. I started to float. With the sun bathing my front, I drifted on the cool water, until I realised something was wrong. I noticed I do not hear the sound of the waves. And I looked back, "Oh my god, I was so far away from the beach" Maybe about a mile maybe more. I have Drifted. I did not realise, what happened, as I did not swim. It was ten minutes ago I went for a swim. And second by second I am drifting further away. And I am being washed away from an ocean current. It was slow but steady and strong current. I am threatened with never seeing my father or my family again. It is hardly possible anyone to notice me in the sea, from the beach. As nobody would. Its so far away to see the tiny floating head of mine above the surface, and the lifeguards were not actively watching. "I thought about my options. I can try to swim, and overswim the current. I thought about it. I had time for eternity. Then I realised, that was not a good option. Even an olympic swimmer would not make it agianst this current. So, I decided to float as long as I can. Maybe someone would miss me and start looking for me. Maybe the lifeguard would see me from his little telescope. And I did. I did preserve my energy and contemplated all my life, prayed for god. And the rescue came. Rescue came not from the beach but from the sea. A surfer bike noticed me and came closer to inspect and helped me out of the water and out of danger. If that would not happened, that would have been the end of my short span of life." Why mindfulness has nothing to do with your life. There one strong message about looking at life from the story. I would not advice you on what to do when you are faced with an ocean current. Although this perticular stratergy worked for the guy in the story, it would not be the best option for everyone. And it is unlikely we ever face such a situation. But, what would you do if you are faced with a current that you surely know that you cannot out swim? Ocean : https://unsplash.com/@inghelza Dylan and Catherine Life is like an ocean current. Slowly drifting towards the sea, dragging everyone of us to the bottom over time . This is why Dylon once said, the most scariest thing for him is "The unstoppable march of the time slowly guiding us towards the death". Even if you agree, with me or not it happens. We have two choices to make. One is to be scared like little Catherine. Not about the inevitable march of time, but about the messangers of truth or "Dylan" in this case. We can be scared about everyone who reminds us death. We can be scared about TV advertisements, corpses, war, famine and disease. We can live all our lives with fear and pray. Or other choice is to be mindful. Mindful about the current, the floating life and the meanining of life . Infact mindfulness is just understanding there is no point trying to swim. And exert ourselves. Help is not going to arrive from the beach or the sea, as we all are just floating jelly fish in the current of the universe. We just have to understand it and let it be, as it is. Whe we understand this fact who might know we will float enough time in the universe until we are permenently away from such currents of the nature. So, there is hope after all. And it is effortless. So, mindfulness has nothing to do with your life. Its just letting it float without disturbing the flow.
