  • Like the Moon Like the Earth -Tidal Locking

Did you know the moon liked the Earth? The Blue and green and brown its Worth. Looking at the Earth since its Birth. Moon never could look away from its lovely Earth. It is so far away but felt so near. I stay in the dark background waiting for you to hear. One day to come closer and hug you my dear And that I will swear by the sun, Earth can you hear! I can't look away Oh I've tried in the past. I would drop down on my knees at last, If I could kiss you, I wouldn't mind I blast. And I will penetrate so deep into your Heart. ( Tidal Locking - The moon always faces the earth as the gravity has forced its rotation to stop a long time ago!, and one day billions of years into the future it may fall on earth. If it does it will crash deep into the core of the earth and that will be the end of the earth as a nice planet. It will be just in pieces. However, this potential crash is said to happen even after our sun is aged as a red giant, so much so there will be no sun to witness it. And all these astronomic things are not relevant to humankind as planets closer to us will be unhabitable for animals when sun ceases to exist. As far as today moon still is moving away from earth few centimeters 3.78cm per year) Thank you for reading : Like the moon like the earth- tidal locking You will also find it interesting: Are we prisoners of our own minds? • Assembly lines and life before them.

Have you seen an #Assemblyline ? If you are working in a factory, it is more likely that you have seen one. And maybe you are already working in one. When we think about assembly lines, different images come to life, such as TikTok videos about 'Most lazy jobs in the world', or the assembly lines of second world War, where workers sing songs while making guns, or inside of Tesla or Toyota car manufacturing factories, where everything is run by automated robots. Assembly lines have revolutionized our production so that the demands are met by, as everyone needs a car, a doll or a doughnut, there is a genuine need to be as fast as what we can achieve. When Henry Ford popularized and amazed the world with Ford cars, he also had just the tools which were necessary for his fast production line. He was the Elon Musk of his time, and he had made it possible by using an Assembly line, although it was already in use by meat processing farms in Chicago, even before that, in China. But obviously there are problems. It is a fact that whenever we find something good for ourselves, we also find new problems. Is it a fact of nature? ( That is a topic for another discussion ) Let's look at some problems with the assembly line and, hopefully, it will make you understand why you are tired doing the laziest job in the world. Assembly lines are fine if they are operated by robots. However, if there are people who are involved, then there will be boredom and poor job satisfaction over time. Imagine if you are underpaid on top of that because whatever the job you are doing can be easily replaced by someone else as there is no big skill needed. (Someone would argue it is modern day slavery) Whoever is involved in an assembly line is never able to see the final product, from beginning to end, and they will never acquire skills to make something of their own. Let's compare it with productions which we had before the assembly line and industrial revolution, and still prevailing in rural parts in some ways. Let's imagine a craftsman in a village who makes metal crafts. He will collect scrap metal from the city to bring it to his cove, and melt it by himself. He will prepare carvings with his fine tools on a piece of wood, to make molds, He will pour the melted metal into his molds and later make fine polishing and painting of the craft. You may have seen videos like that, where they discuss why some specific products, clothing and crafts, are so expensive. It is true that these craftsmen do not earn money as the owners of assembly lines. However, look more satisfied and content with what they earn. What can we learn about life from these assembly lines? If you are stuck in one, and feel tired, know that, maybe you need to let go of your creative self-craving to get away from monotonous nature. Listen to it, at least give some second option. After all, nobody would miss you, and you will be easily replaced. Secondly, be mindful about bottlenecks in your life. Which are side effects of these assembly lines and really can strangulate you otherwise. It is wise to be aware, and prevent after all before a crash happens, and production is affected. And our happiness can create happiness for those around us.

  • How to program ourselves?

This is part two about computers and life ( Part 1). The basic question to ask is how to program ourselves? However, as we all have tried various methods, it is a very difficult task, as the mind seems to be working according to a clock of its own. I will lay down three steps to understand the problem in programming ourselves. After all we want to find the perfect algorithm to live by, we should understand how they are structured and operated. It doesn't matter if you are a non-programmer like me. But we are all owners of this wonderful machine of mind. So, we need to understand what is happening. Step 1: Basic structure of how a computer works. Step 2: Similarities of computers and our mind. Step 3: What can we do to program ourselves? Step 1: Basic structure of how a computer works. We all have seen; computers consist of hardware and software. It takes up inputs from various input devices like mouse, keyboard, microphone and camera, and even from internet connection etc. And it manipulates the data, according to the set of instructions we have given, in the form of programs, (processing) and outputs the results in a meaningful way, to another program or to ourselves. Input - processing - output Step 2: Similarities of computers and our mind. As a human we get our inputs from our in-built sensory organs, and the mind seems to have some internet connection too! We process our information by some unknown mechanisms and programs which occur in our brains. And we see our output as thoughts. However, we can convert these into meaningful conversations, movements and actions as well. Input - sensory organs Processing - in mind Output - thoughts and actions When science advanced, we have better understanding of input and output of ourselves, so we have powers to enhance these, however we still do not understand how the mind really works. That is where the real problem is. If we really want to program ourselves to have happy thoughts all the time, no matter what the inputs are, be positive all the time no matter what happens, we need a programming language to write our programs with. So far that does not exist. This gap in science is replaced by various means, like religion, and beliefs. Let us stop there, as otherwise I will have to write a book, not a blog post to explain. But here, you would argue with me," hold on, thoughts are not outputs, I created them! It is my processing, it's the language. " I can prove it is not, thoughts are not our programming language. Proof 1, Can you predict what your next thought would be? Proof 2, All the thoughts you had during reading of this passage, were influenced by the information I gave you, and information you gathered from the past, (from your hard drive) Proof 3, Even the English language you use to understand your thoughts are, information you received from the past, and stored. Leave a comment if you do not agree. After all these are just outputs of whatever information I have received. There is a chance it's all wrong. Step 3: What can we do to program ourselves? If you understand the problem, now we should have our answer. Truth is, the question is wrong 'Can we really program ourselves?' is the correct question to ask. We cannot program ourselves simply because we do not know our programming language. Whatever the lifehacks you read about are not going to work, not all the time. What about habit forming tricks? What about time management? What about Pomodoro's, and study groups? They are just information, they have the ability to change the output we see, in our thoughts and actions. However, information is not the programming language, so outcomes can be variable for variable people. All we can do is give good healthy information to our machines and wait to see the outcome. That's why traveling works, meditation works. I suggest you change your environment, if our output seems to be not good lately. • For all the birds, who can't fly.

It's the Fall its final call to leave the nest in time. Stoke parents' guide their offspring to out open, in line. To win the skies and fly far away it's a matter of do or die. It's so unfair, if you care, as some birds can't fly.(1997 film) Like Dura, some stayed, with broken wings, his heart cried in pain. When brothers and sisters, said goodbye, he tried again in vain. Like Venesa with hope, how could she have, simply stayed so sane? When given no chance, and end is at the start, whom should we blame? I was sad, thought how sad, I cannot give them hope. I cried and cried, alone in my mind, as I couldn't give a helping hand. Now I realize, how strongly she stood, Venesa the brave heart. Past is passed, future cannot be touched, as life is packed in a second. Background: Some birds can't fly is a 1997 Yugoslav drama film directed by Petar Lalović. Dura- Is a stoke in the story who has broken weak wings. He remains in the nest when his siblings fly away from it to the safety of warm, as winter is approaching. Venesa - Is a girl with Leukemia, although she is pure and bright, she has sccumbed to the nature so early in her life. She is so matured and accepts her fate. Even when her mother tried to give some hope saying that Dura will fly away from his nest, Venesa disagrees saying "He won't, Some birds can't fly". Isn't she amazing?

  • To catch The Happiness before it hides

"Life is the journey not the destination." An angel told me once the happiness is the movement, the journey, the in between. Then I took a walk and thought to myself. If life is a wave. Happiness is a movement of the buoy. If life is a waterfall. Happiness is the flight of a droplet. If life is wind. Happiness is a falling leaf. If life is a river happiness is in the flow of waters not stagnated pools of calm. If life is a lifetime, happiness is in years and dacades If life is a year, happiness is in weeks and days If life is a day, happiness is in hours minutues andseconds If life is a millisecond, happiness is an illusion in the mind Meaning: To catch the happiness before it hides The poem was triggered by a tweet highlighting "life is a journey not the destination". Ha ha ha, however I Lied. I really didn't take a walk, (Poets are allowed to lie in the context of poem) though it took me on a thought journey (Maybe I did not lie after all). Now you know what I thought and It really is difficult to catch the happiness if the life is just in milliseconds. However we have to go through milliseconds to go into seconds. So, what is happiness? Is it an illusion of mind? Evidence suggest so. Then what about other things, that we see and feel? Well, that is for you to think about. You can find more about time in my book and articles and poems throughout the blog. Happy hunting ! You may also like reading: What is time? a novel way

  • AI and Art, Evolution or Involution

There is a doubt in the art world that whether AI art can be considered as true art. I have collected some thoughts about it and here are some. For the artist. Of course, for the traditional painter, time he spend creating art is a journey. As the famous saying goes "Life is a journey not the Destination". Similarly, for him Art is the Journey, not the outcome. And the quality is measured by himself. For the modern AI artist, who struggle with different prompts to bring out the perfect imaginary AI image, of course the time spent is less than a painting. However, we cannot say that he/she does not enjoy doing it. Remember when we were kids, some of us couldn't draw, it's true. But now we have tools for every one of us to enjoy. I believe AI artists do enjoy doing it, it's just a matter of individual's mind business. For the observer of the art For the observer of the art, if we are not prejudiced, it doesn't matter what method the pictures are made, if they speak to us. Imagine how many of us been to visit "Sunflowers of Vincent Van Gough" But many of us have seen his art and still admire it. In what format you have seen it. Digital? Printed? But its not the real thing! still we appreciate and enjoy it. So why does a picture should carry value only when it is physically represented at some corner of the world in some art Gallery? Maurizo Catalan and Banana on the wall - conceptual art The term art is very diverse. It's true that we love only some of these kinds. But there are wired types as well. Conceptual artworks are one such, where art is prioritized according to its concepts and ideas involved in the work. As an example, Maurizo Catalan an Italian artist conceptualized his banana on the wall art. Art consists of a description of how the banana is pasted on the wall and anyone can reproduce it, but the concept is the art itself. Some of us cannot get our heads way around this, however if you attend to a bar, or a fancy restaurant, you might see a bartender arranging specific items in specific ways and create art by himself. Of course, they do not get a certificate for doing that but that is conceptual Art after all. Final thoughts. As AI is advancing fast it is inevitable art world would be engulfed in it at some point. Will it suppress traditional art? We don't know. In a world no one enjoy painting it can happen. But still, we will have to live with our differences. After all AI do not think by itself. Artwork it creates is influenced by thousands of paintings, photos and artwork done before. Is AI art evolution or involution? AI is the inevitable evolution of art. Started with cave painting, only some were gifted to do. Today, its available at our fingertips of each and every one of us We should be proud of ourselves not jealous. Call yourself an Artist. I would. Don't be afraid!

  • Positive and negative effects of sunken Ships and deep Shipwrecks.

How many shipwrecks are there in the world? Does everything end up in graveyards of Indian cost? It is estimated there are over 3 million #shipwrecks in our ocean floors. And World War two alone have resulted in over 15000 of shipwrecks. Even for today, about 50 odd ships go missing all over the world, although the majority of them end up reused in ship graveyards. As captains of our own ships, we should be prepared for the worst after all, and the best place to start would be stories from the past. There are different groups of people who are interested in hunting down shipwrecks for a variety of reasons. Marine biologists, Treasure hunters, historians, even modern-day film makers and solo scuba divers, make a living out of these shipwrecks. After all it is not always negative to have shipwrecks. As we can imagine, since there had been ships and voyagers, there had been wrecks too, so the history goes even back into thousand years into the past. We will revisit some of these stories they have found over the years and learn what they teach us. Of course, there would be much more damage to the environment at the time of a giant ship sinking. It may be due to the fire, spillage of oil and harmful chemicals, which lead to loss of thousands and millions of big and small marine lives, even after decades of such damage. As an example, the Express Pearl ship which caught fire at the SriLankan coastline back in 2020 had released three containers each with, 26000 kg weight of plastic pallets, to the environment according to the Sri Lanka's Marine Environmental Protection Authority (MEPA). And some of them will end up in the Indian Ocean Garbage Patch in years to come and live there over many years as micro plastics, continuously threatening life. The Great Pacific Garbage Patch is the largest of such a collection containing an estimated 45,000–129,000 Metric Tons of plastic as of 2018. After initial havoc and the chaos in the deep ocean floors and sudden loss of life, ships become a part of the environment, and start to be engulfed and consumed by the environment itself. Over time the wreck itself provides a home for a large number of marine lives. Marine Biologists, and scientists still investigate how starting with microbiomes, the shipwrecks evolve into habitats of bigger and bigger animals, from crustaceans to schools of fish, from corals to mammals and sea turtles. #Nature seems to be engulfing and transforming everything it seems. If we return back to our ships, it is a matter of time, next disaster happens to us, and it is pretty unpredictable too. But when such time comes, let's hope that is not the end of the story and there will be recovery and triumph and life after each and every shipwreck. Together we can reduce the impact and fasten the recovery, which is inevitable by nature. • Bottlenecks of life

Have you heard about bottlenecks? Of course, apart from its literal meaning, the term is used to represent a rate limiting step of a process, with many steps, or sub-process involved. There are many examples of bottlenecks of life Imagine you are a driver, a junction in your journey, a color light with traffic, can be a bottleneck. If you are climbing the mount Everest, the Hillary step can be a bottleneck. And if it is the K2 which is the second tallest mountain in the world that you are climbing, the most difficult part of the climb is actually named the 'Bottleneck.' Of course, if you are working in a factory, Assembly line of the factory can have bottlenecks associated with it. If you work with chemistry, a rate limiting reaction can be a bottleneck to the whole process of a chemical reaction. Even if you study biology, you will find 'population bottlenecks' where the population of a species is drastically reduced by some cause like a disease and a natural disaster. If you watch wildlife videos there will be bottlenecks where crocodiles hunt wildebeest who attempt to cross the river. It is important to identify these bottlenecks in any process, if we want to improve productivity. Especially in assembly lines which were popularized during the industrial revolution, identifying as well as finding the true cause was utmost important. As an example, in early stages of #Fordcars company assembly line, the rate limiting step ultimately became the time it takes the paint to dry! So earlier they had to stick to color black as it dried faster, until newer faster drying paints were available. To identify and treat the problems of bottlenecks the fishbone diagrams (Ishikawa diagrams) are used. There is nothing magical in this, as it simply means there can be a variety of contributing factors in an assembly line bottleneck, it may be an error in humans, tiredness, or slow supply chain, problem with machines etc. And try to solve all the issues. When there is a bottleneck junction in a big city engineers use flyovers, or bypass routes to diverge the traffic away from the bottleneck, even separating commercial cities away from schools and factories may be necessary. It seems unnecessary to talk about these high demanding problems, let it be an engineer's job, or the manager's job. But I suggest otherwise. Even we individuals can become stuck in bottlenecks in our lives that we feel like we are slow in progression and life seems just dragging on. Maybe it is time for us to draw a fishbone diagram and identify our root causes of problems rather than trying obvious unhelpful solutions that we have already tried. Maybe it's time to divert our route with a new flyover or create a new channel of motivation to keep up the work. Maybe it's time to ask help from someone with better knowledge and experience. Otherwise, the bottlenecks will consume all our time and everyone following behind us will get affected at the end.

  • What is Mindfulness? ( A definition )

Oh. I have been lazy. I should have talked about this earlier. But no time is there other than now to do something. "Better late than never". And this is the shortest article you are ever going to read about the mindfulness. I will quickly Introduce the mindfulness. Being aware of the awareness is the mindfulness. This is the shortest, and closest and most complete definition of mindfulness that I have come across. And these are not my words. These are from great people who practice mindfulness daily. But as we all know having known the definition helps but not completely. Being aware is not mindfulness. Just being aware is not mindfulness. As nothing can be done without being aware. We are aware all the time we are not sleep. We work, walk, talk and roll in an emotional roller-coaster throughout the day. But can that be called being Mindful? And we know the answer. But if you are aware of your awareness, then it is mindfulness by above definition. See the Suttle difference? Let's imagine you are a programmer. You are tired after six hours of work, and you are aware of your tiredness. That is not mindfulness. But if you see that you are observing your awareness of tiredness as a quantity itself. Then you are mindful. Mindfulness feels like a higher layer of awareness. But what is the importance of knowing this? It is obvious we are immediately starting actioning when we are faced by an emotion, like tiredness, love, greed, anger etc. That is if we are just aware. But if we are mindful of theses emotions, there is a gap between thoughts and actions. Instead of involved with these emotions, once they are objectified as things to be aware of, we naturally tend to get away from our impulsiveness. I can write thousand benefits of being mindful. But this may not the time or the place. I suggest there are thousands of blogs have done the same before. So, I choose not to. However, I will give you another principle to help you with this. That is, Mindfulness without wisdom is like a blind goose. That is true. You have read it correct. Mindfulness without wisdom is not going to go anywhere and it is going to do more harm than good. So, what is wisdom? Wisdom is the information we receive to guide our mindfulness with. I have given you some wisdom. here in this article. But there is lot more. Wisdom is shaped by our information. So, if you are prejudiced by your culture or religion, I suggest you go in front of a mountain and be mindful until your ego drops down to earth and, then mindfulness will take over. And it will generate wisdom. As information is always out there, whenever you hear or see or smell something.
