Pain of awareness

Did you know? If you do not know, the awareness has a price. As a blog, here I promote mindfulness as means to discovering solutions for our life problems. The awareness gives access to more information, so we can clearly see problems, and define it's fundamental nature so we can solve them better. Consider the problems arise with money. Or lack of it. When you are more aware of your day, you will see more opportunities where you can solve the problem by doing smart work, or acquiring new skills. However, if you are aware of your money problems and your patterns of spending, you will see more solutions, such as ways to reduce your expenditure. Or lower down your expectation, or greed for materialistic things. If you are more aware, you will further see there is minimal connection with your daily fluctuations of happiness level with amount of zeros in your bank account. Then one day you realize money has not been the problem all along, that you have not been aware, about other things you miss in your life, because you have been only thinking about being or getting rich. Happiness might come form a bee, or a butterfly or even a falling leaf. At this point, you might start questioning your life. How it all began, and how everything became an entangled ball of yarn. Where did you lose simple joys of living like a child. And you might start regretting or move towards an existential criss. So, this is the price you would pay for being aware. Or I would say, the pain of awareness.

Sunlit gravel path winding through giant tree trunks in a leafy forest, with warm golden light and fallen leaves.
Trees.

Nobody might see when you're in a party or a family gathering, that you are being aware. You would not only see just men and women happily drinking wine and chit chatting. You will see beyond their eyes in their brains and notice all the selfish reasons they are there. You will see, existence is a game, and we sometimes play, co-operatively as we would otherwise perish. That is there to it. If you were given the powers of God, and reassurance to there are no consequences to your action, who knows there might be a great villain who would crush all other beings just for the pleasure of it. This all may sound imagination, but if you are aware of rich and powerful people and their actions in this ethical world, it does follow the same pattern. So, then you question even when someone spend a billion dollars on charity, whether their intensions are pure? or just another glory seeking act.

Acceptance of the present as a solution.

But there is hope. As I believe the awareness is the key and only path for true happiness. Other paths which follow the stories and subjective truths, will ultimately cease to exist. But, if there is an objective truth, it is only through awareness we can understand this. As past seems just memories and future seem just a dream, awareness which helps to us be in present is a great asset. It could even be a great joy to be aware, as much as pain of the breaking up of every foolish idea that the society teaches us in our schools. I am not saying all education is useless. But they fail miserably at teaching life. Life cannot be learnt at school or a university. It can only be realized by direct experience by you and me. In our own separate worlds. So, How have been your awareness doing today. I am curious to know.
